One of the delights and downfalls of WordPress is the continual evolution of its various plugins. This is the reason behind 90% of website “issues” that I fix, and why I’ve considerably changed my pricing structure and my contract. I highly recommend a maintenance agreement…
I digress. I have a cold coming on, so am doing anything to escape realizing how clogged up my sinuses are… including redesigning STLGreenScene, because I didn’t feel like fixing the outdated plugin issues it was having (anyway, I didn’t have time to maintain and grow a community of 99.99% spam profiles).
I put it on a very simple directory script. There are no coupons, no fancy levels of membership or advertising. If I decide to charge, I can only charge one rate (besides the “featured listing” fee), and accept payments only via the most basic paypal interface.
I like it.
