Medical and EMS Consultant Website

Medical and EMS Consultant Website

This website for an emergency medical services and personnel training consultant integrated events management and booking, ecommerce (the plan was to have digital downloads of emergency medical training courses for sale), and a very attractive layout and branding. I designed the logo based on graphics provided by the client.

Nonprofit Club website design: Gateway Parrot Club

Nonprofit Club website design: Gateway Parrot Club

GatewayParrotClub.org is one of the most drastic website redesigns that I have ever done. They wanted a website that was flexible towards future growth, with the ability to add more community features in the future, would emphasize their informative and fun events, and would help attract younger members.

Redesign for STAR Avian Rescue

Redesign for STAR Avian Rescue

My WordPress website design skills have greatly improved in the past few years. I’m now working at a solidly advanced intermediate level. My process of designing sites has become more technically correct, and I’ve started incorporating more custom code and...
WordPress Website for a Statler Stitcher Longarm Quilter

WordPress Website for a Statler Stitcher Longarm Quilter

Sharon of SharSomQuilts, also does long arm quilting and custom designs. Unlike her cousin, Shelley of Star-CrossedStitches, she started with no website at all.

For brand new sites like this for brand new small businesses, I use a framework and custom theme that are easily expandable and probably have more options than needed. This way the site can easily be changed as the business grows, and as more content is added.

Longarm quilting and custom embroidery website

Longarm quilting and custom embroidery website

I helped bring Shelley, the long arm quilter and custom embroider behind Star-CrossedStitches.com into the 20-teens! I connected Shelley with an affordable logo designer to help finesse the logo that she’d drawn by hand, and I created her a friendly crafty WordPress site to match!

New book site: ArnieAndBebe

New book site: ArnieAndBebe

I had the pleasure to move ArnieAndBeBe.com from a static HTML and Javascript site to WordPress. The original design was fantastic, and it was a learning lesson in re-creating someone else’s work in a custom WordPress theme! The problem with the old site was...
Church Website: Affton Christian Church

Church Website: Affton Christian Church

Affton Christian Church went from a very simple HTML website that hadn’t been redesigned since the early 2000s, and they needed an updated look and more functionality.

CVTInc – Modular Head Walls and Hospital Equipment

CVTInc – Modular Head Walls and Hospital Equipment

CVTInc.net sells modular head walls and other top of the line supplies to hospitals. The president and founder, Kim, just needed a simple web presence. This site has one layout, and is also known as a “brochure site”. Sites like this can be created fairly...
Website design for a construction company

Website design for a construction company

I took Basset Construction from a flash-based site that was built using Wix.com, to a cross-browser compatible, more flexible, WordPress based website. The most difficult part of this project was the galleries: Flash based galleries are undoubtedly...
Website Design for an IT Professional – KennahIT

Website Design for an IT Professional – KennahIT

KennahIT went from a very simple 1 page website, to a simple WordPress site. She’s previously gotten new business thru word of mouth only, but realized the need for a professional web-presence.
One of her biggest challenges of this project was creating written content for the additional pages on her new site. She sent over the wording to launch the site, and was glad that being on the WordPress platform will allow her to easily change and add content.

Staffing Agency Website Design for Ameristaffinc

Staffing Agency Website Design for Ameristaffinc

Ameristaffinc.net needed a website overhaul! I love redesigning websites for businesses; this was a great experience to work with the director of operations to create a new website that she could easily update herself. This redesigned website also matches the official company logo and branding considerably better than the previous design.

NonProfit Website Design for St. Louis Avian Rescue (STAR)

NonProfit Website Design for St. Louis Avian Rescue (STAR)

This nonprofit website is the most complex site that I currently have online (STLCleanScene is no longer up). They didn’t know that WordPress could provide such extended functionality, and it was a pleasure to meet and exceed every single one of their “wishlist” items (and add some features that they didn’t know they wanted).
